"At ESA, we value a diverse workforce at all levels, as we understand that different experiences and perspectives drive better results and connect us to the communities we serve. However, diversity alone is not enough. We are committed to taking actions to ensure all Associates are treated equitably, know they are valued team members, know that their voices will be heard and respected, and feel a true sense of belonging."

Kevin Henry

CHRO & Executive Vice President of Human Resources

All our Extended Stay America associates play a role in creating and maintaining an inclusive culture in the workplace. Together, we are intentional in removing the barriers of separation to foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. We encourage our associate engagement and have invested in resources designed to increase opportunities for our associates to learn about the company, voice concerns, give feedback, connect with each other and share
personal experiences.

Put People First

Employee Resource Groups

Extended Stay America values all people. To support diversity, Extended Stay America will be launching two new Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) this year to support our female and African American associates; and plan to launch more ERGs in the future.

Honoring Veterans

In addition to employing hundreds of military veterans and reservists at our hotels and hotel support center, Extended Stay America is proud to welcome thousands of active military and veterans at its properties across the country each year. To support military personnel and families, Extended Stay America offers Temporary Travel Duty (TDY) and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) rates at hundreds of hotels across the country and supports the Department of Defense by honoring the Department of Defense Flat Rate Policy.

Women of Extended Stay America

Extended Stay America celebrates the tremendous women who continue to make a positive impact in the world and at Extended Stay America every day, and specifically pay tribue to them during Women's History Month.
